Educational Membership is available to individuals who are engaged in training and education of students within the design drafting/graphic profession.

Educational Members are Professional Members and titled as ‘Professional in Education’.

Institutional Membership

Institutional Membership is offered to groups of three or more individuals employed in education. This membership is offered to instructors, administrators or other individuals which are employed at an educational facility where design drafting/graphic programs are taught. Other educators may be included as part of this group.

Continuing Education

��ϲʿ��վ supports and endorses continuing education and training at every level and stage of the individual’s career. Continuing education can consist of courses, videos, on-line training, post-secondary and vocational training in single or multiple programs that meets the individual’s requirements.

Design Drafting Week

Design Drafting Week takes place the same week as the ��ϲʿ��վ National Conference. It has been set aside by ��ϲʿ��վ to honor all of the individuals who are engaged in the profession of design drafting and graphic arts.

Employment Center

��ϲʿ��վ Employment Center is operated by JobTarget. Within this area you may search for a job openingsby posting your resume, or advertise for a position within your company or other companies. There is no charge for posting a resume.

Professional Certification

Professional Certification is an on-line examination provided by ��ϲʿ��վ to establish a credentialing system based on an individual's competency level.

The examinations are based on years of experience or training level. Examinations are Professional Level but are available to students. Examinations may be taken at any approved testing site or through a proctor approved by ��ϲʿ��վ. Professional Certification through ��ϲʿ��վ is a 3 year lifespan, from date of certification and requires renewal.

Professional Recertification

Professional Recertification is rquired for all Certified Drafters, Certified Design Drafter, Certified Designers, Cetified Digital Designers, Certified Imaging Technolist or Technicians.

Professional Certification through ��ϲʿ��վ has a 3 year lifespan and requires renewal.

Accreditation

��ϲʿ��վ offers program accreditation to institutions when requested or required. The ��ϲʿ��վ Accreditation is a two part process. Part 1 is completing the self-evaluation. Part 2 is the site visit, interviews and verification of all documentation. ��ϲʿ��վ Accreditation and ��ϲʿ��վ Curriculum Certification will meet most state and federal requirements for funding.

How to become a Authorized Testing Site or Certified Testing Site is as simple as completing an application and providing some detailed information.

If your school has Certified Curriculum through ��ϲʿ��վ the process is even easier.

Chapters

Chapters are ��ϲʿ��վ's Student Organizations.
��ϲʿ��վ Chapters consist of students who are involved in Design, Drafting and Graphics Programs. Members can be involved in several training areas such as; drafting, design, pre-engineering, visual communications and other related graphic based classes. Chapters are designed very similar to those of other student organizations and can coincide with little effort.

Curriculum Certification

Curriculum Certification is a specialized copyrighted program certification process developed by ��ϲʿ��վ to assist educational facilities and vocational training institutions for aligning their educational process to meet or exceed industry standards.

Design Drafting Contest

The ��ϲʿ��վ Design Drafting Contest is an annual event which is open to any student member of ��ϲʿ��վ or any student enrolled in an ��ϲʿ��վ Certified Program.
